The story starts with Dr.Uday Gupta (Ayushmann Khuraana) who was doing medicine meanwhile he was in a relationship with Richa and after that, they broke up. Uday always wanted to go into the orthopedic department because he had dreamt of being that particular doctor only.

Unfortunately, he did not get a seat in his local city and if he wants to get that then he has to go to some other city and which he didn’t want to do because of his mother. The only department in which he was getting a seat was gynecology. He never wanted to go but thought that let’s take admission in that and meanwhile I’ll prepare for orthopedic. He went on the first day and saw there were all women in the department and no one was male.

He tried to quit as well many times because he was not comfortable and wanted to go into orthopedics. By staying in the same department he started getting knowledge of it and started doing good with everyone. Meanwhile, he got in touch with his senior who was Dr.Fatima (Rakul Preet Singh), and became friends with her. He was doing great with patients but just because of his male ego he was not that comfortable.

After that Dr.Nandini told him that he has to make a decision and put his male ego aside and do the work because, in the end, this is the only thing he has to do. He did everything and made decisions that he would do and started dealing with patients and made deliveries as well. Patients did complain as well because of the issue but he still kept doing work and in the end, he became a good gynae doctor.
